I have been teaching voice for over 25 years. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Music and I am a member of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) since 1999. I have directed numerous adult, children and handbell choirs. I started and directed Melodia Homeschool Choir from 2014-2017. For several years, I served as assistant director of the Alliance of Christian Musicians (ACM) Summer Singing Camp in Tacoma, WA.

As a performer, I have sung in numerous choirs, church services, and weddings. Some of my musical theater credits include The Music Man,  The Sound of Music, Finian's Rainbow, Kismet, Showboat and West Side Story. My repertoire includes opera arias, folk songs, classical art songs, Christian worship, hymns, and musical theater. My students come from a number of different backgrounds and have performed in voice competitions, pageants, recitals, worship services, operas, and musical theater productions.

I am a home school mom with over 20 years of experience raising and educating my own children.  Music has been an integral part of my kids' education and I strongly believe that music and the arts are an integral  part of every childhood experience.  Creativity, discipline, structure, musicality, artistry, a sense of accomplishment and the joy of creating music are just some of the advantages of a home filled with music.  I want to bring that kind of experience in your home.
